Sudden Uprising: From Education to Activation

Organized by Douglass Leadership Institute

Emmanuel Church of God in Christ
2600 Minnesota Ave SE
Washington, DC 20020

Abortion was birthed in a eugenic (Alan Guttmacher), population control (Richard Nixon) environment that included KKK enthusiasts like Margaret Sanger. With the aim of controlling the Black birth rate, abortion surgical centers sprang up in Black neighborhoods with Planned Parenthood taking the lead in targeting Black and Latino communities. Today their targeting has resulted in the genocide of more than twenty million Black babies.Nearly 100 years ago Margaret Sanger founded the American Birth Control League with the goal of exterminating the negro population. Today most of Planned Parenthoods surgical abortion facilities are located in minority neighborhoods and the black community has been devastated in the wake of their expansion.

  • If abortion is genocide what is our response?
  • What can we do to advance the goal of making abortion unacceptable in our community?
Join Black doctors, pastors, lawyers, and activist from around the country. Be a part of the Sudden Uprising!
